I Sanger provides high performance computing (HPC) services such as high throughput genetic sequencing and analysis to more than 20,000 active users via its Meiji Bio Cloud public cloud service. The Meiji Bio Cloud environment consists of more than 1,000 servers. To maintain high throughput for HPC workloads, I Sanger looked to improve storage performance.
I Sanger chose to deploy four Lenovo ThinkSystem DE6000H Hybrid Storage arrays, supported by the Lustre parallel file system running on Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 servers. The Lenovo solutions enable users to run jobs and gain insights faster, while giving I Sanger the flexibility to scale out to support future data growth.
