Abstract

The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR665 V3 server has set four performance world records for the SPECjbb2015 benchmarks.

This document summarizes the the SPECjbb2015 benchmark result for the ThinkSystem SR665 V3 that was published on November 10, 2022. The document lists the result, summarizes the major components of the configuration under test, and provides the link to the relevant benchmark organization’s web site for details about the result.

Introduction

The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR665 V3 server has set four performance world records for the SPECjbb2015 benchmarks.

Lenovo ThinkSystem SR665 V3SPECjbb2015 is a Java Business Benchmark and is the SPEC benchmark used for evaluating the performance of servers running typical Enterprise Java applications.

The ThinkSystem SR665 V3 with two processors achieved the following four top SPECjbb2015 scores:

  • SPECjbb2015-Distributed Max-jOPS (Windows Server 2022): 670,220
  • SPECjbb2015-Distributed Critical-jOPS (Windows Server 2022): 458,365
  • SPECjbb2015-MultiJVM Max-jOPS (Windows Server 2022): 662,046
  • SPECjbb2015-MultiJVM Critical-jOPS (Windows Server 2022): 447,004

SPECjbb2015 measures multi-threaded compute-intensive applications, with mixed industry workloads such as online purchase, inventory management, and supply. Critical-jOPS scores are ideal for measuring latency-critical applications and max-jOPS scores are ideal for measuring throughput-critical applications.

The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR665 V3 was configured as follows:

  • 2x AMD EPYC 9654 processors (each 96 cores, 2.40 GHz, 384 MB L3 cache)
  • 1536 GB system memory
  • Windows Server 2022 Datacenter
  • Oracle Java SE
    • Java HotSpot 64-bit Server VM, version 19
    • Java HotSpot 64-bit Server VM, version 17.0.4.1
