The ThinkSystem SD530 V3 is a multi-node server designed for workloads requiring extreme compute power. With 2x the core density, it is ideal for multiple applications including increasing virtual machine density for cloud computing and processing mass amounts of transactional data.
Up to four 1U2S ThinkSystem SD530 V3 server nodes nest in a single 2U ThinkSystem D3 Chassis providing up to 8CPU processing performance.
Flexible workload optimization
The ThinkSystem SD530 V3 enables the flexibility to scale out as workloads increase. Start with a single server in a ThinkSystem D3 chassis and add servers as workloads expand.
This modular multi-node system also gives the ability to mix the SD530 V3 server node with other nodes in the same chassis adding greater flexibility to your rack space. With the ability to mix nodes in the same chassis you can easily scale out to meet your processing needs as they grow.
Efficiency and performance
The ThinkSystem SD530 V3 is designed to provide space and energy savings within the data center for workloads requiring only minimal storage. The SD530 V3 has 1U optimized thermals with up to four nodes sharing 3 power supplies (up to 2700W each), reducing power consumption and OPEX per 1U versus a standard rack server.
With double the core density of a standard rack server, the SD530 V3 provides double the processing power in the same footprint as a standard rack server. Additionally, users save on unnecessary storage and PCIe costs for workloads where they are not needed.
Ease of management
Included with the SD530 V3 is XClarity Controller system management, providing advanced service-processor control, monitoring, and alerting functions. Lenovo XClarity Controller is a hardware embedded management engine common in every two-socket ThinkSystem server. XClarity Controller features an uncluttered graphical user interface, industry standard Redfish-compliant REST APIs.
