Corneliu Ilie Calciu is a senior software engineer for the Cloud Computing Think Agile CP in the Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG). He leads the On-prem Compute team but is involved in the entire On-Prem/Off-Prem solution. He is a Master Inventor with 25 issued or pending patents in such areas as networking and cloud computing. Before joining Lenovo, he was the software prime for ERS4500 stackable switches at Nortel and later he worked for ENEA doing real time OS kernel development. Finally, he joined IBM to develop the Flex System Interconnect Fabric solution. At Lenovo he was the technical lead for the Cloud NOS platform team and later the manager of the team. Corneliu holds a bachelor’s degree with majors in mobile communications from the Electronics and Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and master’s degree in Microsystems from the same university.
