Abstract
Based on the latest technology from Emulex, the new Virtual Fabric Adapter Generation 5 (VFA5) adapters for Lenovo System x offer superior convergence technologies and advanced features unique to Emulex—all in one adapter. Features include:
- Reduces cost and complexity using a converged Virtual Fabric architecture
- Provides industry leading Network Interface Card (NIC) with optimized small packet performance, Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) and iSCSI hardware offload capabilities and RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE)
- Increases performance with network acceleration for greater virtual machine (VM) mobility and 50% better CPU utilization with VXLAN and NVGRE networking offloads
