In October and November, Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group announced new DSS-G offerings, new components for our ThinkAgile VX hyperconverged offerings, and new models of the DB610S with lifetime warranties. Read on to find out more!

It has been a busy month! Changes in the November 30, 2021 update:
- New drive options for ThinkAgile VX with 3rd Gen Xeon processors - ThinkAgile VX updates section
New ThinkAgile VX 1U systems with AMD EPYC 7003 processors
This month, we announced the new ThinkAgile VX2375, VX3375, VX7375-N, VX3376 1U Integrated Systems and Certified Nodes. These are 2-socket 1U systems that feature the AMD EPYC 7003 "Milan" family of processors. The four systems are as follows:
- ThinkAgile VX2375 is suitable as a SMB, remote office and branch office system
- ThinkAgile VX3375 and VX3376 are for VDI, server virtualization, and private cloud workloads
- ThinkAgile VX7375-N is for high-performance workloads such as databases, Exchange, and SharePoint

DSS-G now available with SR650 V2 servers
Lenovo Distributed Storage Solution for IBM Spectrum Scale (DSS-G) is a rack-scale software-defined storage (SDS) solution for dense scalable file and object storage suitable for high-performance and data-intensive environments.
DSS-G combines the performance of Lenovo ThinkSystem servers, Lenovo storage enclosures, and industry leading IBM Spectrum Scale software, to offer a high performance, scalable building block approach to modern storage needs.
We just released the new DSS-G solution using SR650 V2 and SR630 V2 servers (based on 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable "Whitley" processors). We also announced updates that support 18TB drives in the D3284 External Storage Enclosure. With the new DSS G2A0 model, with 10x D3284 enclosures, that's a massive 15,084TB of storage!

ThinkAgile VX updates
Lenovo ThinkAgile VX Series is our family of high-performance VMware vSAN-based hyperconverged offerings.

At the end of October, Lenovo announced support for additional server components, including:
- Mellanox ConnectX-6 Lx, Dx, HDR100 and HDR Ethernet network adapters
- Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx adapters
- Solarflare X2522-Plus Ethernet network adapter
- Intel S4520 and S4620 SATA SSDs
- Intel P5800X NVMe SSDs
- Samsung PM1733 NVMe SSDs
- Additional HBA support
On November 30, we also announced the following drive options for the VX systems with 3rd Gen Xeon processors:
- ThinkSystem Nytro 3732 Performance SAS 12Gb Hot Swap SSD family
- ThinkSystem S4520 Read Intensive SATA 6Gb Hot Swap SSD family
- ThinkSystem S4620 Mixed Use SATA 6Gb Hot Swap SSD family
- ThinkSystem U.2 PM1733 Entry NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 Hot Swap SSD family

ThinkSystem DM Series updates
This month, we've announced the following updates to our ThinkSystem DM family of storage systems:
- New 3-year warranty models for the following:
- DM3000H, DM5000F and DM5000H controller enclosures
- DM120S, DM240S and DM600S expansion enclosures
- For customers in PRC, new ONTAP SAN Only bundles:
- DM3000H, DM5000H
- New offerings to upgrade ONTAP SAN Only bundles to Unified Premium for the following:
- DM3000H and DM5000H (PRC only)
- DM5000F (Worldwide)
- New support for 10Gb transceiver option on all systems:
- 10G SW Optical iSCSI SFP+ Module 1 pack, 4XF7A14919
DB610S FC Switch now with a lifetime warranty
The ThinkSystem DB610S 32Gb FC SAN Switch is a flexible Fibre Channel switch with 24 ports, each supporting up to 32 Gb/s connectivity.

Lenovo now offers models of the DB610S with lifetime warranties which allows customers to get hardware support and access to FOS support until the end of life of the DB610S switch.

New SSDs for ThinkSystem DE Storage Systems
The ThinkSystem DE SAN storage systems now support the following SSD drives:
- LFF drives for 2U12 enclosures:
- Lenovo ThinkSystem DE Series 960GB 1DWD 2.5" SSD 2U12, 4XB7A74946
- Lenovo ThinkSystem DE Series 1.92TB 1DWD 2.5" SSD 2U12, 4XB7A74947
- SFF drives for 2U24 enclosures:

The various server product guides have also been updated to include the new option kits that enable field upgrades to configurations that use these adapters. Customers in EMEA also have access to preconfigured models of servers with these adapters installed.
