Abstract

The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR665 V3 has set a new performance world record for the SPECpower_ssj 2008 benchmark.

This document summarizes the SPECpower_ssj 2008 benchmark result for the ThinkSystem SR665 V3. It lists the result, summarizes the major components of the configuration under test, and provides the link to the relevant benchmark organization’s web site for details about the result.

Introduction

Lenovo has published a new SPECpower_ssj 2008 benchmark result that has set a new world record - the best ever overall SPECpower result. The result has been achieved on the powerful Lenovo ThinkSystem SR665 V3 server using the new AMD EPYC 9754 processor.

Lenovo ThinkSystem SR665 V3The SPECpower_ssj 2008 benchmark is an industry-standard benchmark that evaluates the power and performance characteristics of single servers and multi-node servers.

The ThinkSystem SR665 V3 server achieved the following score:

  • SPECpower_ssj2008 = 34,597 overall ssj_ops/watt

The SR665 V3 was configured as follows:

  • 2x AMD EPYC 9754 ("Bergamo") processor (128 cores, 2.25 GHz, 256 MB L3 cache)
  • 768 GB of DDR5 memory
  • 1x 240GB M.2 SSD
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Datacenter Edition
  • Oracle Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 17.0.1+12-LTS-39, mixed mode)

This is the best SPECpower_ssj2008 result ever out of over 900 official results. Including this result, Lenovo has 39 of the top 100 SPECpower results.
