Abstract
Business Intelligence (BI) is defined as the technology used to extract useful information from the vast amount of data that a business has been collecting over time. The information extracted can then be used by decision makers to guide their business to success.
Figuring out the hardware and software needed to build BI configurations is a complicated and time-consuming process. IBM has built some reference configurations and tested them to provide clients with guidelines when sizing their BI configurations.
This Redguide is the second in a series that describes Business Intelligence reference configurations which scale with database size. The first one covered reference configurations at a constant database size.
